Job Summary

The Factory Floor Staff at Ruko Establishments Milk Factory will assist in daily factory operations by loading and unloading goods, packing, sealing, and organizing finished dairy products for shipment. The role ensures safe, clean, and efficient handling of all materials to maintain smooth production.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Load and unload milk products, raw materials, and packaging from delivery and dispatch trucks
• Pack, seal, and label finished products according to factory standards and quality criteria
• Move materials using hand trucks or other equipment to appropriate storage or processing areas
• Support machine operators by feeding materials into machines and removing finished products
• Ensure all products are handled in a clean, safe, and hygienic manner to prevent contamination
• Maintain simple records of received, packed, and dispatched items
• Keep the manufacturing floor clean, organized, and free of obstacles per GMP
• Work with other factory workers and follow instructions from machine operators or supervisors to meet daily production goals
• Wear appropriate PPE, follow safety rules, and report accidents or unsafe conditions immediately

Qualifications, Education, and Competencies

• Uganda Certificate of Education (O'Level)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a dairy or food manufacturing setting, preferably in packing, loading/unloading, or warehouse work

Skills and Traits

• Ability to safely lift and move heavy items
• High attention to detail in sealing and labeling
• Commitment to hygiene, safety, and teamwork
• Basic awareness of workplace sanitation and safety protocols

• Efficiency in loading/unloading operations (timely and accurate handling)
• Packing quality (proper sealing, labeling, and presentation)
• Safe material handling (no injuries or contamination)
• Workplace hygiene (clean and organized work areas)
• Teamwork (responsiveness to machine operators and supervisors)
• Attendance & Punctuality (availability during scheduled shifts)
