The Business Applications Administrator, who reports to the Alternate Channels Specialist, is in charge of supporting, maintaining, and automating systems administration tasks to make sure that all system applications are always running, including planning, research, and development for disaster recovery
Main Responsibilities
Support for applications and implementations
Set up high availability and continuity/DR for business applications
Make sure that essential business apps get good technical BAU support
Give the technical advice and help needed to set up and run the company's business systems
Make sure that corporate data is safe in systems
Make sure that any changes to customizations are carefully controlled
Solving hard analytical problems in Business Applications
Give experienced help with important business software
Make sure that all business apps run smoothly and securely
Help with training for essential apps

2–3 years, preferably at a bank or financial institution
Other Skills and Qualifications
You should know how to use Microsoft Server Operating Systems, such as Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, Sun Solaris, and IBM
VMware, Hyper V, and MS Azure are examples of virtualization and cloud computing
Knowledge of storage infrastructure, NetApp, storage clustering, and replication
Knowledge of many apps, such as core banking, e-banking, ATM switch, and System Center
You need to know how to use MSSQL, DB2, Oracle 9i, and database management systems, and you should have worked with open-source UNIX before
A lot of knowledge and sophisticated abilities in a wide range of computer hardware and software programs, such as communications systems, desktop applications, and network administration programs
A lot of expertise with supporting databases, especially Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL
Skills for making applications
Excellent oral and writing communication skills, including the ability to speak coherently to employees and third parties, understand procedures, create reports and letters, and interpret documentation
Able and willing to tackle difficult analytical problems, analyze material on their own, and make suggestions depending on what they find
