Job Summary

DFCU Bank is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager - Asset Finance to join its Vehicle & Asset Finance team. The role involves driving the growth, quality, and profitability of the bank’s vehicle and asset finance portfolio, promoting asset finance solutions, and managing client relationships across Corporate & Institutional Banking and Retail segments. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Vehicle & Asset Finance, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction and portfolio performance.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and profitability of the asset financing portfolio across all business segments
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction, increase service uptake, and reduce complaints and turnover
  • Monitor and improve portfolio quality by eliminating bad accounts, reducing loan amounts, and managing provisions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all asset finance activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders and relationship managers
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute annual asset finance initiatives
  • Regularly review and enhance asset finance procedures, policies, and customer service performance
  • Conduct client visits and courtesy calls, providing advice to optimize portfolio performance
  • Analyze client data to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling asset finance products
  • Manage and expand the asset finance sales funnel for all customer types
  • Stay updated on new products, regulatory changes, and trends in the asset finance market
  • Propose tailored financial solutions based on customer needs and data insights
  • Support marketing campaigns and sales initiatives to drive product adoption
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and strategic partners
  • Attend compliance and portfolio review meetings to address non-performing loan accounts related to vehicle and asset finance
  • Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance and track business development activities
  • Lead training sessions for internal teams (business, credit, risk, marketing) to enhance understanding and management of asset finance solutions

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional qualification in banking or finance is an added advantage

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in asset financing or a similar financial service role

Skills

  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in compliance, risk management, and credit analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements (e.g., P&L, balance sheets)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure
  • Deep knowledge of banking products and the vehicle and asset financing market
  • Professional, well-groomed, self-motivated, and results-oriented
