Network Engineer (1 Position)

· Reports to: Cloud Infrastructure Services Manager

· Location: Kampala (Head Office)

Main Duties:

• Set up configure and run the Bank's Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
• Set up and keep up network security policies and access controls like firewalls
• Create and implement cloud solutions that can grow on Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Plan the capacity of the network and make sure it is always available and ready for disaster recovery
• Use scripting tools to automate operations related to setting up networks and clouds
• Run vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on the network

Experience and Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering computer science IT or a discipline that is related
• Certifications (Very Important):
  • Cisco: CCNA CCNP (very recommended)
  • Cloud: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on work setting up switches routers and firewalls in a busy WAN/LAN environment
• Skills: Good at analyzing things and talking to others Cloud DevOps methods automation and security are things you should know about
