Job Overview

The main job of this person is to keep the connection between certain distribution business partners (DCs) in check so that the company may fulfill its sales and distribution goals

Important Roles and Duties

Strategic Business Planning
  • Make plans for your business that are strategic
  • Talk to the Distributor Manager to make sure you understand the distribution strategy and plans so you can carry them out
  • The Distributor manager has approved the call schedules
  • The logistics infrastructure of the DC meets the needs of the organization
  • Fully comprehend the strategy of each competition in each DC's area gather all of the information about competitors and send it to TBL
DC Performance and Efficiency
  • DCs are given help to reach and go above and beyond their performance goals
  • Looking at sales goals and how well they were met
  • DCs know how to make business deals with the corporation that are good for both sides
  • DCs know exactly what deliverables are expected of them
  • Monthly reviews and quarterly formal reviews of DC performance together with an action plan put into place
  • Check how well the distributor is doing financially and how much money they are making
  • Help DCs come up with ways to cut costs
  • DCs send more than 85% of their volume straight to stores
Training and Pricing
  • In charge of training sales and administrative workers in DC
  • Setting prices inside the distribution network
DC Business Growth
  • Each DC makes an annual business plan with the help of the Distributor manager This plan focuses on areas of business development that are in line with TBL's strategy
  • Written description of each DC's territory
  • Appropriate amounts of stock and brand are set
  • To set criteria for all business partners who are not part of the company
Planning and Managing Information
  • Set up systems to keep track of and compare DCs to important goals and initiatives
  • DC keeps track of performance on a daily weekly and monthly basis

Important Skills and Traits

  • A good understanding of sales and distribution procedures expenses and ways to make things better
  • Good understanding of the trading environment in the area assigned
  • Knowing how to budget and use process procedures
  • Business skills
  • Knowing how to use a computer

Minimum Requirements

  • A B Comm IMM or comparable degree in Distribution and Marketing
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience in sales or finance
  • License to Drive
