The Department of Business Languages at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is looking for three (3) enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistants to help teach and study languages that are important for business communication.

 The people who get the job will be experts in one of the following languages Kiswahili Chinese or German This job is for new graduates who want to start a career in academia .

They will provide important help in tutorials language labs and practical sessions The assistants will help students improve their language abilities and their ability to communicate professionally in a multilingual corporate setting.  This will help them become more aware of other cultures and see things from a global point of view

• Teaching Support: Help senior academic staff get ready for and run tutorials language lab sessions and practical classes for business language courses like English for Business Communication Skills Kiswahili Chinese or German
• Student Assessment: Under the direction of supervisors grade coursework assignments and language exams and give students timely and helpful feedback to help them learn
• Student Mentorship: Help students improve their speaking writing and professional presentation skills in the target language(s)
• Resource Development: Help plan prepare and create new teaching and learning resources such as audio-visual aids and digital tools to help people learn languages faster
• Departmental events: Take part in departmental seminars language workshops and cultural exchange events to make the learning environment better and encourage multilingualism
• Curriculum Contribution: Help the department with projects to create and review the curriculum

• You must be able to show that you are good in at least one of the following English for Business Communication Skills Kiswahili Chinese or German
• Good written and spoken communication skills as well as the ability to get pupils interested and motivated
• A strong interest in language teaching academic research and continuing professional development Having taught tutored or worked in a language lab before is a big plus
• Must be a Ugandan citizen 30 years old or younger and have no history of professional misconduct
• Some good qualities are being sensitive to other cultures coming up with new ways to teach and being able to work well with others in a team
