Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is re-advertising the strategic job of Chief – Quality Assurance.This senior leadership position is in charge of the Quality Assurance Directorate and is the School's main person in charge of making sure that both academics and administration are of high quality 

The Chief QA will give strategic direction on how to design implement and monitor strong quality assurance systems that make sure MUBS's programs and services meet and exceed the standards set by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) and international benchmarks 

The best applicant will be a visionary leader who knows a lot about higher education quality frameworks and is passionate about making the institution better and better all the time

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the Quality Assurance Directorate in a strategic way making sure that all academic and administrative quality systems follow the MUBS Strategic Plan NCHE rules and international best practices
• Policy Development: Create put into action and assess policies and procedures for institutional quality assurance that span teaching learning research and administrative services
• Accreditation Management: Work with the NCHE and other professional organizations to make sure that all steps of the program's accreditation and re-accreditation are carried out smoothly
• Data-Driven Improvement: Set up and run data-driven QA systems including institutional research learning analytics graduate tracer studies and performance dashboards to help make decisions based on facts
• Benchmarking and Reporting: Compare MUBS's quality assurance processes to those of other schools in the region (IUCEA) and around the world Make and give detailed quality reports to the Council Senate and Management
• Stakeholder Engagement: Improve the experience of students and other stakeholders by making sure that students alumni and employers can give feedback in a structured way and that the results are used to improve quality
• Capacity Building: Build capacity and give academic and administrative staff training on quality assurance issues to create a culture of quality and excellence throughout the School

• You need to have at least five (5) years of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer or higher
• At least four (4) years of experience as the head of an academic unit (such a department or faculty) or higher at a university
• Having professional training or certification in quality assurance or higher education management is a big plus
• Must have a Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) that is still good
• Must be a Ugandan citizen who is less than 55 years old
• The candidate must show that they have a deep understanding of the NCHE and IUCEA quality assurance frameworks as well as good analytical skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders
