Main Job Duties
  • Meet regional sales goals for prepaid revenue quality prepaid gross connections electronic airtime sales % retail universe outlets devices and digital revenues
  • Save money on the channel partner's Subscriber Acquisition Costs and promotional efforts that have been set aside
  • Find hire and keep an eye on distribution partners (distributors recharge outlets activation outlets prepaid contact points) in new and existing locations to reach sales growth and retail penetration goals
  • Make a plan for channels and distribution
  • Build and expand MTN's retail world through franchisees and other ways to go to market
  • Make sure that MTN's trade channel stays a competitive edge in terms of depth breadth customer experience and branding
  • Plan predict and analyze stock for distribution and regional warehouses
  • Plan and organize the entire supply chain in the areas for all distribution channel partners
  • Oversee the regional implementation and execution of Merchandising and brand presence
  • Using and applying business intelligence to improve distribution
  • Use regional staff to help your department and organization reach their goals
  • Carry out and keep an eye on MTN Brand projects through retail stores making sure that high standards are always met
  • Look over the Channels and Distribution Department's procedures policies and workflows
  • Achieve sales goals for all items by putting the distribution plan into action at the channel-partner level
  • Make plans for promotional events for channel partners
  • Keep an eye on launches and schemes that are distinctive to each channel
  • Give feedback and work with the network team to make better use of technology rollout and expansion in the regions
  • Regularly examine the performance of Territory managers and retailers to keep them motivated and keep them from leaving
  • Give Territory Managers and distribution partners training on best practices and good coaching to make them more effective overall
  • Reaching growth goals by reaching more people and expanding into new areas
  • Improve the MTN Retail experience in MTN channel stores
  • Take care of the MTN Customer Experience plans at stores and other places where people buy things
  • Make sure that stock levels and availability stay above the defined levels
  • Make sure that everyone follows MTN's rules policies and procedures as well as the organization's general goals legal and regulatory requirements
  • Keep a professional relationship with management people from different departments and business partners
  • Do any other tasks that the Senior Manager of Regional Operations gives you
Academic Requirements
Requirement
A bachelor's degree in business administration marketing commerce or a similar discipline
Experience
  • Three years of relevant job experience in sales and distribution in a telecom firm or service industry
  • At least four to five years of expertise in retail/channel development business analysis and product evaluation
  • It would be helpful to have worked in marketing analytics for telecommunications or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) before
  • Work with your hands
  • Good understanding of trends in sales and retail and how to run a successful store
Learning
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Access Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good at analyzing things
  • Great at negotiating and selling
  • Being able to do more than one thing at once and set priorities for your everyday work
  • Excellent skills in planning and managing time
