Job Summary

As the Technology Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for selecting, onboarding, and managing technology vendors to maximize value and minimize risks.

 You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain Management, Legal, and Business Units to review contracts, monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with service level agreements, and mitigate risks such as data breaches and licensing violations.

 This role also involves building long-term vendor relationships, managing contract renewals, implementing service improvement strategies, and serving as the primary point of contact for IT vendor-related issues

Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology vendor management plan
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management and other business units to review contracts (MSA, SLA, SOWs)
  • Ensure annual budgets for vendor contracts are adequately planned
  • Monitor vendors to ensure they meet contractual obligations and report any breaches
  • Work with SCM and SAM to assess and mitigate risks associated with technology vendors (e.g., data breaches or compliance issues)
  • Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships through regular service review meetings
  • Collaborate with group-wide stakeholders to implement service improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for IT vendor and stakeholder issues
  • Ensure all IT services and products have valid contracts, track expirations or renewals, and take necessary actions

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

RequirementDetails
EducationA bachelor’s degree in IT or a related business discipline (required)  
An MBA or MSc in a related discipline (preferred)
ExperienceAt least 6 years of experience in managing IT contracts, delivering IT services, or vendor management  
6 years of expertise in negotiating and managing IT and technology service contracts  
At least 3 years of experience in project management, vendor relationship management, sourcing, procurement, or performance management  
2 years of expertise managing large, complex IT contracts for hardware, software, services, and communications  
2 years of experience collaborating with key departments and stakeholders on procurement and vendor management  
2 years of experience in project management  
1 year of experience in people management

Professional Certifications:  
ITIL Foundation or Project Management certification (required)  
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent (preferred)  
Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or similar legal/contracts qualification (preferred)  
Skills:  
Strong negotiation and contract management skills  
Knowledge of procurement, risk management, and IT vendor operations  
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills  
Ability to build long-term vendor relationships and drive continuous service improvement
