Task | Description |

Chemical Dosing and Water Quality | Run all chemical dosing pumps, ensuring correct dosing per prescribed standards. Check water quality for parameters like TDS, pH, alkalinity, and chlorine concentration, and determine raw and treated water flow. |
Filter Maintenance | Perform backwashing on carbon filters, clean ultra-filters, steam carbon purifiers, and change filter cartridges according to schedule. Conduct weekly sanitation of water treatment tanks, polishers, filters, and the entire water treatment area. |
Equipment Monitoring | Check the operation of all pumps and machinery in the water treatment department, reporting failures immediately to the supervisor. Monitor utility pumps, cooling tower inlet/outlet circuits, MF filters, gauges, flowmeters, charts, and system control panels to ensure proper functioning. |
Chemical Preparation and Supply | Prepare caustic, per-acetic acid, and chlorine solutions to required standards for water treatment plants and production line CIPs. Ensure adequate stocks of water treatment reagents and chemicals and sufficient purified water supply to production lines. |
Compliance and Documentation | Ensure plant CIPs follow CIP Mandate requirements with accurate data recording. Maintain water treatment records per UNBS standards. Ensure pressure gauges and temperature sensors are calibrated regularly. |
Training and Support | Provide training, guidance, and support to new water treatment personnel. Monitor and operate UF, RO, and CIP systems at standard frequencies. |
Requirement | Description |
---|---|
Education | BSc in Chemistry, Biology, Food Sciences, or a related field from a well-known school. |
Experience | At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the food industry, with beverage manufacturing as a distinct advantage. Familiarity with carbonated soft drinks and/or water treatment plants. |
Skills & Competencies | Knowledge of food safety and hygiene handling techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions, routines, and accepted practices. |
