Job Summary

The Marketing and Brand Officer will enhance Kray Microfinance’s brand visibility, growth, and impact by executing marketing, branding, and communication campaigns. The role involves attracting new customers, promoting financial products (loans, savings, investments), and ensuring consistent, professional brand representation across branches, digital channels, and events.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities

Marketing Execution and Coordination

  • Implement marketing and communication plans aligned with Kray’s business strategy
  • Plan branch-level promotions, campaigns, and product activations to attract customers and raise awareness
  • Maintain a marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers and Product Leads to enhance product exposure and customer engagement
  • Prepare business proposals for marketing partnerships, sponsorships, and events for management review

Brand Management

  • Protect Kray’s brand identity by ensuring consistent use of logos, colors, and messaging
  • Conduct regular brand audits across branches, social media, and marketing materials, recommending improvements
  • Promote brand values internally and externally across all communication touchpoints
  • Develop creative ideas, visuals, and stories aligned with Kray’s marketing message: “Today, Tomorrow, Together”

Digital Marketing and Communication

  • Manage Kray’s social media by scheduling posts, engaging followers, and monitoring performance metrics
  • Support digital campaigns for key products like Kabox Kusimu and 120 Days
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer and stakeholder inquiries online
  • Create digital content (graphics, videos, posts) showcasing Kray’s products and community impact
  • Track digital trends and insights to optimize Kray’s online engagement strategy

Events, Deals, and Sponsorships

  • Organize branding, booths, and promotional materials for trade shows, corporate events, and activations
  • Ensure polished and visible branding at sponsored or partnered events
  • Track leads, conversions, and partnership engagements to evaluate event success
  • Prepare post-event summaries and visual reports for management and partners

Internal Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with Relationship Officers, Branch Managers, and Product Leads to align marketing and sales efforts
  • Provide regular updates on campaign performance, social media metrics, and marketing insights
  • Maintain organized marketing data, reports, images, and dashboards
  • Use internal communication tools to reinforce the brand’s culture among staff

Budget and Compliance

  • Monitor marketing budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to agreed limits
  • Negotiate with suppliers, printers, and media providers to secure the best deals
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with Kray’s brand standards and ethical guidelines

Qualifications, Education, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, branding, or communications, preferably in microfinance, banking, or fintech
  • Key Skills:
    • Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and campaign planning
    • Ability to use digital marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads)
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and creative writing skills
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Expertise in brand and visual identity management
    • Analytical and results-oriented mindset
    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to workplace integrity
